Was using Digital Performer for years (everbody's like wuzat?). I used to rewire Reason to it and that's allI used. Got a demo for Live at GC. Used it to cut up the Amen break and got hooked on it. Bought 7 and couldn't stop using it. Now I got Suite 8 and I've been writing the best stuff ever. Seriously Live is THE best idea for quickly sketching out songs. Everyone has their own ways of finalizing and what have you but when I'm at a public place and not at home laptop w/ Live + my launchpad. Super dope shit!

I traded in a Roland SH-201 for a MPC 2000 at a local music store(I already have a JP-8000) so lately I've been really into using an MPC. So I'm thinking about picking up one of the MPD controllers for the road

but on a serious note, macs seem to be gradually catching up for that sort of thing from what I see on torrent sites like demonoid.
