The Cut Off Fields

could somebody explain me better , how I can mute a sound while another is playing?

The answer is there... you just gotta read it slowly.

the thing is ,that in each pad, I can only select 2 pads to cutt of.
I want the sound to be cut off , each time I press a pad, not just 2.
Can I do that , like mpc 2000 ?

on the mpc 2000 each pad can only mute 2 pads also...

if you want a pad to get muted you need to choose which pad you want to do the muting.

Lets say you want to mute a kick when a snare comes in, the kick is on pad 64 and the snare is on 65

Go to the the sounds page (the the one you provided) for 65 and in one of the mute fields enter pad 64 either by scrolling to 64 with the wheel or moving the cursor to the field and pressing the pad you want to mute.

i think what he wants to do is set the pgm to mono - like you can on the newer mpcs - so each pad will cut off every other pad. either that or mute groups - each member of the group cuts off every other member of the group.

i dont think you can do this on the os3.1 60 so assume it can be done on the 3000 either.

you cant even do that on the 2000 either...
