They are soft and better than the 500 stock pads. They glow too which I liked because I work in the dark. That looks cool araf, I'm doing something simple right now. I'll post pics when its done in this thread.

You cant just mention that your drum machine got pissed on and chewed up by rats and then switch subjects like that.

Those glue traps are the final solution.

One trick I figured out by accident is to leave the first catch there, especially if its a female because it doesn't kill them and all the other rats will come to check out the squeals. Then you've got 5 of the sumbitches stuck on there like quick sand.

Cruel but effective.
And I'm sure you'll agree something that just has to be done.

Disposing of the bastards after that is your choice, I dont like to think about my panicked reaction when I found them.

BTW: Congrats on the pads, It just got much easier being Green.
Eh?

Oh sh!t :o Robthom, long time no see. Yeah, my problem with the rats is over thank God but I like that trick of catching 5. Just gotta say that these vermins run so fast you'll think a fly flew past you. Don't know what was so tasty about the pads, I'm washing my hands before every session now in case it was food I ate getting imprinted into the pads by greasy fingers, strange that they didn't go for the MV or my other samplers.

Yeah, they last pretty long maybe an hour then it slowly fades, I charge them under fluorescent light. If left under for a while they get real bright.

Wassap brother IllGreen,
I see you've been holding it down, and thats why I feel safe around here.

"Don't know what was so tasty about the pads, ..."

Thats weird that they glommed onto the pads.
I remember my gramma telling me how they used to steal and chew tar from the street workers back in the 30's.

Maybe its just so soft and chewable?!
(Like p_ssy, who can explain it?! )

I really like that album ya made.
Big ups!

Thats pretty much the same direction that I want to go for myself.

rats love rubber and plastic because they like chewing it... that is why they chew wires and soft wood like pine.

the glue trap idea is solid and works, and if you got too many stuck on your glue covered piece of wood you take pliers and grab a corner so you can pick it up... put it in a bucket of water and in 10 minutes they all drown.

I had some rats that got into the sub flooring of my place however I got rid of them all and tore the entire basement floor up during renovations... they came in through the drain pipe because the cover wasn't fastened on well. anyways long story short, with a modified rat trap I had every one of them. I even caught one by the nose in the trap... the way I modded it they cant get away.

^^

Thats what I ended up doing.

I freaked out when all five of the bastards kept squealing at the same time.

I felt kinda bad about it afterward because I wouldn't want to drown.

But I couldn't think of another better way except bashing them or crushing them.
And if you "country" canucks up north aint figured a better way then I guess thats just it...

I hate to bash them but its the sight if those things that don't hold me back. I feel bad after knowing that a big guy like me killed something so small. But those big black ones, they're too smart, I hear people trying to smack them with a broom and they just jump on the stick of the broom and scale their way to the person to bite them. Those guys I'd rather chase out. I kicked one in the ass when he was by the door, never saw him again. That day was remembered as the Mickey Mouse Invasion.

well the thing about the bucket of water is... you dump the water out after... you toss the glued piece of wood and dead rats in a bag... not much mess.

when you start bashing them it starts making a mess and then you are left with a filthy baseball bat and a mess or what ever the case may be. there is also the slight chance of knocking the rat free from the trap he is stuck in... even wounded they will take off and die in it's hiding spot which potentially could be somewhere in your wall or under your floor boards.... not very nice.

If you use rat poison such as strychnine (riddex or rydex for example) ... the best idea is to put it in an area you are less likely to go and put a pan of water out near by because when poisoned by that the rat gets extremely thirsty immediately and will do what ever it can to get to water. you would obviously prefer it to die in the water you left there instead of in your drain pipe or under your floor.... also try and avoid them if you see them in the process of dieing from that poison because they can get quite violent. the primary goal is to not get bitten.

The problem with rats is that they go into our sewers etc... and they carry human diseases and diseases that can harm humans... often ones that they are not affected by. For example, a rat infected with hep c.... can pass hep c to you.... not good. dont **** around... dont shoot guns in your own house.

See y'all got it it figured out.

I'm sure New York brothers got it figured for a New York way.
With an emphasis on "Hey, f_ck you!".
;)

Both ways work and get the job done.
Which ever angle suits you best.

I know, some of those big red eyed fluckers are way to mean and evil to hold back on.
They'll get YOU first if they can!

And they're no pushovers to kill either!

I've tried to encourage them sumbitches to leave me alone before, but they dont listen.
Its war after that, I dont care who you is, man or mice!

Are you trying to break my heart with how offended you are?

Jacpot sez "save the diseased rats!"

Move out of your apartments people, diseased rates deserve an opportunity to live there to!
