So... In 2011/2012 i'm planning to buy some new gear to my old setup. Currently i have:

- Ensoniq EPS [Main Sampler & Sequencer]
- Akai s1000 [2nd sampler for pianos, guitars and other's]
- Korg EA1
- Lexicon Omega
- Roland RE 201
- Akai AP B1 Turntable

Now i need:
Monitor's [Alesis Active 520, Esi nEar 05 eXperince or somethin better?]
Polyphonic synthesier [must be an rack synth because i don't have enought space for another key-instrument]
MIDI controller [Behringer BCF2000 or Euphonix MC control]
Mixer [Vestax PMC 06 Pro A, Technics SH -DJ 1200 or?]
CD Player [Pioneer CDJ-200]
DSP [Must be on FireWire]

What do you think about this stuff? Got any better ideas?

Technics SH -DJ 1200

Dont get that if you want to scratch - the faders wear out really quick. The Technics EX-1200 looks very similar but is far better (Ive had one 8 years and havent needed to change the fader , with the sh dj1200 I was lucky to go 8 weeks without changing it! )

The EX has a matt finish, the sh 1200 has a gloss finish.

if i were in your situation i would probably go with the following:

-monitors: yamaha HS50M [or HS80M if needed/affordable]

-polyphonic synth: maybe look into a roland jp-8080, korg MS2000R, or a dave smith poly evolver... there are lots of options out there depending on what kinda sounds you want... maybe even that new moog slim phatty would be ideal for you [although it may be mono now that i think about it]... i've yet to use one, but it looks real tempting!

-midi controller: it doesn't look like you need a midi keyboard controller [going off the midi gear you listed]... have you looked into the novation nocturn? i only mention the nocturn since you also mentioned that you're struggling with space. if not, look into the novation remote series... novation is pretty solid in my experience.

-mixer: vestax dj mixers are real nice, but i ended up buying a stanton SA-3 new-in-box for real cheap and have no complaints at all... i know they can be found for cheap still & that's all i can really vouche for currently.

The mixer must be an scratch mixer so i think an used vestax 06 [like crossings said] + innofader will be a good chocie. That midi controller should have automation the nocturn deosn't have it :(

i dont like the click of the vestax's. its a metal on metal sound and its on the off beat when you hit a side on the crossfader. i like my rane56. if i was gonna get a vestax it'd be 07-pro or the blue quadraphonic one.

dont get the alesis monitors. i bought some for 200 bux AU .. um 5's i think and they are bass heavy and one is buzzy. i suggest krks.. i got vxt4's and luv em if you got the right sized room-smaller/medium

Perosnally i don't like the feeling when i'm playing on a Rane mixer. What about Access Virus TI Snow somebody have one? And what about the DSP's? I'm seriously thinking about TC Electronic PowerCore or SSL Duende...

Why is it sooo bad? I don't record Vocals so i don't care about omegas preamps. Only Line In's for beats from my samplers...

forget those alesis 520 monitors, used to have 620...one of them stopped working after about two years due to faulty design and over heating power supply

I don't know about the one you have but the one I had I had to constantly reboot it and some inputs worked sometimes, sometimes they didn't . I was always hit & miss w/ getting that thing to work . And it was like it had a mind of it's own because it always fcked up right when I had a deadline for a mixtape or something .
