hey all i was wondering if there is any good free drum kits out on the ol interweb i know that may be a long shot since theres so many of those half assed premier timabland etc garbage kits . i live in a very small town with next to no record stores so finding breaks on vinyl is like finding a god damn diamond wrapped in gold riding a unicorn lol and i dont really want to use all the same old downloadable breaks off the web i know its sucks using pack drums but if anyone knows of a half descent kit for a beginner get at me : )

Are you the same optimystical that i know from youtube? If so, send me a message on youtube as a reminder (simple message saying something like "drums please") and i'll hook you up with a few links to some nice kits. I can also send you a small collection of drums that i sampled from my own vinyl records (it's not much, still gotta sample more). Hit me up with your e-mail address.

Peace homie!

For starters, here's a website that has some drumkits that is maybe not the best ever (if you're looking strictly for drums sampled from vinyl), but there's some nice stuff. The drumkits are supposedly from famous beatmakers, who knows if that's true... i doubt it. Nevertheless, give them a try.

I have a zip file ready for download on mediafire. It contains some stuff that i sampled from records myself (not all are good, i just recently started sampling my own drums) and a few samples from some random drum library that i think is nice. However, there's one file in there with "rare" drumbreaks sampled from vinyl... which was sent to me by a friend, and i want to ask him first if it's ok to share it with all of you. I think it's gonna be ok, so stay tuned. :D

Edit: Here's more free drums, shared by another member...
