Loading multiple programs ?'s

Probably a simple question but I need to find an easier way......lazy. Say I have a program loaded up with samples, drums, etc.. and the sequences are set. This program takes up bank A and B. Later I want to add guitars and basses from sample disks. I like the bass and layout on the sample disk but it has them laid out in bank A. If I switch to that pgm my seq play the bass like my drums. Can I somehow bring the bass and pgm that is laid out in A over to my main pgm and put it in C? I know how to assign the sound to all the pads and copy the parameters but that takes too much time. There has got to be a better way.

You don't need to merge programs together.
Simply assign the new programs (bass, guitar) to other Parts of the Multi.
Say you already have the Drums program (using Banks A and B) on Part 1.
In MULTI, assign the Bass program to Part 2 and the Guitar Program to Part 3.
Now, when you select a new Track for the Bass, assign the Out of that track to Part 2 instead of Part 1 and you will be able to play the bass whereever it was programmed, even if it is also Bank A.

The MPC4000 has 128 tracks and a MULTI can have up to 128 Parts.
