I was messin around with the loop feature, and eventually i had a sample that would delay when i hit the pad.

I think it was a combination of these things that got me to that point. I will post again when i get home tonight to confirm a definate solution...

1. I set the sample to note on. Also set it to Poly (I think, not sure)
2. Make the decay setting at least 80% (experiment/sample length)
3. Go to the TRIM page, select LOOP, and select the whole sample.

This should allow you to hit the pad, and the sample should fade out while repeating. I have to mess with it some more, but at one point I swear I had a sample with Delay. So if everyone at home in front of there MPC1000's can f around with this concept, we should have a pretty definate solution for how stupid AKAI is for not including delay in the first place.

Please post anything you find, and what the limitations may be that you found with this idea... I think it has potential...

I thought it was hot when i first came across it. Im going to try loading up some short samples, like strings and bass stuff. We should all keep messin with it until the method is perfect for long and short samples.
