I lost the autoload for this one:

Probably going to go back to making beats like this soon for a while. <3 Note Repeat

I also have...
Rose Royce - Wishing On A Star (Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNWebiiOfeM

You can listen to the entire beat... OR! Since the verses are very long and only one repetitive loop, skip to like 1:20 minutes into the video to hear the chorus line and you can stop it after a few bars after the chorus, that'd be the entire beat really.

Other than that, all the music on my YouTube page were all made on my MPC500 except Voices; that's an FL Studio beat from way back. (Yeah I rap on some of them, so people don't jack my beats.)

This is an MPC500 Freestyle Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca1EV07X3c0

If you don't have the time to watch me play it for 7 minutes you can skip to 6:30 minutes on this one to hear the loop I finished throughout the video.

And as always you can just visit me @ http://www.youtube.com/detonating

Well its more of a vid of me usin the 500 to scratch over an instrumental im workin on that i made in the 500.

So not shure if it counts as a straight 500 beat vid?

Theres an element of live improv (as i'd just lernt how to scratch on the 500).

Well it's my 1st 500 vid anyway.

Somtimes the random 1s r the best.

Its the featured vid on my youtube page.

A quick demo for my headphones of one that I'm working on, but I think I'm going to split what I'm doing and make 2 different songs from the drums and the music:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/826876049bd1a48f/

BTW: I wonder if Zshare is abandoned?

I had trouble uploading the other day and the dates at the bottom of the page stop @ 2009.

@ beatnix, very catchy.
I like the clean sounds and "simple" beat.
Good for rapping over.
(I gotta figure out where you guys are getting those sounds! :D )

@ Ceet, how in the heck are you making that scratching sound?!
It looks like your doing it with the Qlink, which is a hell of a lot more than I can figure out what to do with that thing!
I like your drum sequencing, and the music has a cool "visual" sound.
Nice.

@robthom

The same way you make scratch sounds on the 1000 and the 2500 bro, just load a scratch sample to a pad, 'note on' that pad then control the tune of that pad with the slider.

I'm still lerning the 500 but i've found more then a few usses for the slider, i use it a lot for a lot of differnt things including usin it to turn an open hat into a clossed hat and vise versa and using it to switch the sample a pad plays, which is pritty handy since u only got 12 pads 'n' if ur playin with ur right hand switchin banks can get a bit awkward when playing at speed since when your right hands tappin pads 9 and 12 that pritty much blocks ur left hand from switching banks without crossing and toutching hands, which feels very awkward (i'm workin on using differnt fingures on the same hand to perform differnt tasks that would solve this problem, its just takin time to strenthen my little and second from little fingures but i'm gettin there).

In regards to 500 beats (the subject of this post lol not that it's not great wen posts go off subject)

I'm planning on starting a new page to post vids/instrumentals soon, my plan is to make more, what i can only describe as 'real' type Hip Hop and i'm planning on using the 500 for all of my new beats, i will also be performing these new tracks live both in the street and at open mic nights. If my broke ass does make anything of this new venture i am planning to cop an MPC4000 maybe in a year or so but if my 500 is still alive (kuz it's guna get the shit tapped out of it over the next 12 months) then i'll still use the 500 for makin beats on my break at collage and for live street performance.

Neway

Peace

'n' i look forward to hearing more instrumentals/tracks from this post soon.

Could you pls share how you switch the sample a pad plays using the slider? The manual mentions this and points you to Chapter 8 Q Link Slider, but it is not mentioned in the chapter or anywhere in the manual.

I beleive i have the latest manual version, downoaded from akaipro (MPC500_Reference_Manual_revC.pdf), is there a newer one?

cheers

Shoot Blood!
Youz a scientist!

I have know idea what you're detailing on, which is probably the same reason I never figured out that Qlink thang in the first place.

But big ups, I like the way you do it.

All these beats are very inspiring, thats why I like the 500 because its small and bangs bigtime. Even with the bugs and hassles I find myself like a kid with a DS, whether I'm in the park or waiting in my ride for my girl to come out shopping, its all buttery for me.
