I'm trying to use the new MIDI CC feature from the last couple of JJ updates and it lets me program the pads and Q-Links like it says and everything works fine live, but if I record a sequence of it it will not playback. Note that I checked the sequence on the Step Edit page and everything is recorded and looks right, but simply will not be sent upon playback. I searched the forum and found one other guy reporting this same problem, but no one replied to him, so I thought I'd post it again. I've got some great plans if I can get this working, so I'd really appreciate any help.
In case you're wondering what I'm trying to do, here's the idea: MPC2500 JJOS-XL Ver. 1.46 as a sequencer / controller for two real-time samplers (in this case two Behringer Virtualizer Pro's which have a 5-second stereo sampler feature) so that I can loop / manipulate / chop up external audio sources live, but keep the recording always starting at the top of a measure and the playback of the samples chopped to the beat using the Note Repeat button. Then I programed a Q-Link slider to change the pitch of the sample (25% - 400%) and a Pad set to the mix volume (0% - 100%) to cut the audio in and out like a crossfader or kill / stutter. I can also use the Q-Links to move the start and end point of the samples to really bust it up and scrub back and forth through it. This would be incredibly cool on live vocals or drums or scratching or anything, right? Only problem is it won't actually playback the MIDI CC data that's recorded.
The way I have it configured is:
Pad 1 = Start Recording (CC# 103, value 1)
Pad 2 = Start Playback (CC#104, value 1)
Pad 3 = Direction Forward (CC# 106, value 1)
Pad 4 = Mix 100% (CC# 111, value 100)
Pad 5 = Stop Recording (CC#103, value 0)
Pad 6 = Stop Playback (CC# 104, value 0)
Pad 7 = Direction Backward (CC# 106, value 0)
Pad 8 = Mix 0% (CC# 111, value 0)
Pad 9 = Pitch 25% (CC # 105, value 0)
Pad 10 = Pitch 50% (CC # 105, value 30)
Pad 11 = Pitch 200% (CC # 105, value 90)
Pad 12 = Pitch 400% (CC # 105, value 120)
Pad 13 = Pitch 100% (CC# 105, value 60)
Pad 14 = Momentary Playback (CC# 104, value 0 / 127)
Pad 15 = Momentary Playback (CC# 104, value 0 / 127)
Pad 16 = Momentary Mix 0% / !00% (CC# 111, value 0 / 127)
Q-Link 1 = Pitch 25% - 400% (CC# 105, value 0 - 127)
Q-Link 2 = Mix 0% - 100% (CC# 111, value 0 - 127)
Q-Link 3 = Sample Start Point 0.00 - 5.04 seconds (CC# 107, value 0 - 127)
Q-Link 4 = Sample End Point 0.04 - 5.08 seconds (CC# 108, value 0 - 127)
Any help? I'm dying to get this going...
