and cant forget that cheesy metalic sounding DX7 bass... but that is a love/hate thing... I am leaning on the hate side but that board has some cool stuff you can do.

+1 personally I'm a HUGE fan of the DX-100 also +1 for the dude that said the Akai Test program..can't go wrong with a sine wave

I **** love bass... All synth sounds other than Bass Station lead out of the Akai 3200XL, I carefully sampled my friends DX-100 as mine is broken more than his..that be some classic DX bass there shame you can't hear how crunchy the sub is...on the youtube vid it sounds like a simple sine but there is more to it, the DX-100 makes it sound like it's being bit crushed lol

yo IMNICE, that's dope!! but i can't take any credit for simply posting a link to a youtube video that someone else made... i'll admit that the first time i saw that video i too was like though... and you've also helped prove the point that when it comes to bass, just about anything with some lower frequency in it can make a good sound if filtered properly.

Yeah that joint tripped me out...Your 100% right about anything being a good sound once filtered right too. If you find anything else strange keep me posted....Peace

word, for example... plugging your instrument 1/4" cable into your record input and touching the two contacts which as you know creates that buzz.... then bamm! 16 levels.
