Hi,
I have my MPC 1000 (JJ OS 3.12) hooked up to my Alesis Micron synth. "Micron Out' to 'MPC In' and 'MPC Out' to 'Micron In'
I got a drumsequence with bass in the MPC, these sounds are in the MPC. I want to add some leads and chords from the Micron. I do this by playing along to the drums, while the MPC records the midi-data of my performance to a separate track of the MPC-sequence.
That's all working great.
Where it goes wrong is this: The recorded midi-data of my synth-performance, doesn't just trigger my synth-soundmodule, it also triggers sounds in the MPC.
So my question is, how can I get the MPC to just trigger the synth and not it's own sounds, while I'm performing on the synth or playing back that performance with the MPC-sequencer ?
(yes I've been reading the manuals of both the mpc and the micron, can't fugure it out. also keep in mind that I'm new to midi and the mpc. it might be something simple ? I don't know..)
