you can thank these cats for letting people in on the secret of sharing your samples. when they came out they let evrybody know what they were using, now they want to cover up again what it is there scratching with, dont make sence to me, but i dig to hard and spend to much money to just up and give it away. sorry i was never into showing what i got, although there are times you just have to show it cause it's just unbeleivable

Although I'm inquisitive bout the sample I dont understand how someone can tell his sample sources and post the actual sample. Whats the goal of that?
I mean aint you proud that you found a sample that noone knows? You dont want to keep that little secret?
Thats what diggin is about IMO. Find stuff that noone knows or used before.

I know what you mean, that´s the typical digger state of mind

BUT

I reached the conclusion that I´m more interested in the creative side of things, what you´re able to do with what you have and don´t keep secrets like little golums but sharing with people, check what an ill and creative mind can do with a source (a sample),,,, That´s what beatmaking is 4 me... It´s great to see what some good beatmakers can do with samples that have been used a lot, or the way a breakbeat can be flip to the limit

i think that digging is what you make of it..i can see why someone that seriously diggs would NOT want to share "gems" that they find because THEY found it..

on the other spectrum, who cares? if i found a gem and sampled/flipped it to a crazy beat, why not hear what another GOOD producer can do with the same? i personally, honestly, feel that the core of it is also fear..some producers just CANT be shown up on something they worked hard on and i can see their argument..

if its me, and someone outdid a beat i did with the same sample, best believe they'll get their props (TRUE PROPS NO HATE) AND it'll motivate me in turn.

so its really on each individual and how much they're feeling their own music vS others..
