Hello, been googling my balls off to find a solution to this but no luck. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Basically, I run an MPC1000 on stage, loaded with one shot drum samples to be triggered manually. Each song has it's own program with the specific samples for that song inside it.

Currently I skip through programs on stage between songs but am hopefully going to automate it as we run ableton live also.

Today I slaved my MPC to our Ableton setup and in the step edit, put a program change at the first bar of each song, worked like a dream, when we skipped to a random bar on the ableton setup, my mpc would also jump...and when it reached the next program change point it would do it automatically.

My problem is this......
Our set on ableton is 1400 bars long. We run it in arrange view with all the songs consecutive with markers at the beginning....some of them just run straight into each other, some we stop and start.

Unfortunately the maximum length for an MPC sequence is 999 bars.....and with a 1400 bar set, I can't see anyway to get round it.

I'm not sure if any of what I've said has made any sense, but I'd love to try and get to some kind of solution if anyone can help.

Thanks very much.

Nick

hey man, thanks for the reply.

I thought about that, just making a second sequence (there's definitely a point where I could change over easily)

The problem comes from the fact that ableton as the master goes beyond 999 bars....because even if I had a second sequence....to program the patch changes I would have to put in (eg) Program Change at bar 1300. .....but the MPC doesn't recognise that any bars after 999 exist...

So hard to explain...hope I'm making sense....
