It's all about simple and different files names for everything.(never was an issue on the 3000 or 2500,welcome to a new akai era I guess) well anyway I hope I helped some lonely frustrated 5000 user out there. Happy beat making everybody!!!

yes, I found out that the hard way with my mpc1k. the reason is that mpc1k and mpc5k loads all files into one folder in RAM. It ignores your hard disk folder structure. each file, wave, project need a unique name in it's catergory. check out the autoload folder.
