A friend of mine gave my some samples and some free and trial vsts on a external harddrive, but they were put on there and formatted with a mac computer, and i have a pc, are there any free program the i can get to make my pc read these mac files, when i plug the hard drive into my computer with the firewire cable nothing comes but under dek manager i see the hard drive and it says unknown partition

i think it has to do with how the hard drive is formatted. mac and pc use different formatting systems. if i were you i would just get a mac and save yourself some future headaches anyway. :roll:

This is laughable. I won't bother with an epic MAC Vs PC argument; I dont wanna jack dudes thread.... plus it's not really a debate. The mac would read/write any format the PC can spit out, sadly its not vise versa.

If you know the dude well, just go back, re-format, upload the files again and your sorted. Otherwise the MacDisk link that Ghosty posted is the way forward for you sir...
