mpc 2000xl help

I just got a mpc 2000xl and i love it so far.. but the zip drive dosent seem to work properly.. everytime that i put the only zip disk in it that i have, is it saying this clicky noise.. Ive heard of the click of death.. could this be it? If it is the click of death does it then mean that it destroyed both the zip drive AND the Atapi port? I was not planning on keeping the zip drive so it dosent really matter about it works or not.. And i have no files on the zip disk.. The only thing that i want is to buy a cf card reader, put it in the mpc and connect it to the atapi port instead of the zip drive.. can i do this or am i screwed..? Thanx a lot / Aske

Yeah, i agree.

Your zip disk is probably cashed. Try a new zip and of course make sure you're not trying to put a 250MB zip into a 100MB drive. Damn, I need that CF card reader too!

Depending on the CF reader you choose, you may need to upgrade the OS first before installing the card reader. The worst case is that you pick up a floppy drive so you can load the new OS via floppy before installing the reader.
What OS version do you have currently?
