ok i got the same cable on the ZIP FAQ which is 25 pin male to 50 pin male scsi II cable...but when i connect everything up and try to save something on a zip disk all i get is the "waiting" response...what is going on? one thing i am concerned about is that there are two connections on the back of my zip drive, one connection says ZIP which is a male connection, and the other has a little printer icon and is a female connection... since i bought the cable with two male connectors, i was only able to connect to the zip drive thru the printer icon connection...could this be the problem?

As said in the FAQ, only SCSI zip drives work externally with the MPC. You seem to have a parallel port drive - a parallel port is the type of port found on a printer and the back of a PC - this is all in the FAQ also.
