miniak with mpc1000

i was given a miniak and mpc1000 to get started...ive read the manuals over and over...i have two midi chords....ive made a basic beat with the mpc but now i wanna add synth....isnt there anything as simple as plugin and record? i just want my mpc beats to have miniak synth..do i need more equipment? interface bc i also have fl studio....

I followed the instructions and got my mpc500 & alesis micron working together. Akai Miniak & Alesis Micron are identical in a different box.

you can't record the synth sounds over a midi cable

you haven't read the manuals properly. read up about midi
