Hi, i'm french, sorry for my english..

I have a MPC 2500 with OS JJ XL, a MOTU MK3 Ultralite, and an old Midi keyboard.

I use my MPC only with sample (with a turntable) but i want to add my computer with VST like a sound module (and use my keyboard to play VST).

Which audio and midi connections i need ?

Can i directly record the VSTs sounds into the MPC?

I hope you understand me.. lol

Thanks

Hi, I'm English, sorry for my French.

Connect le old MIDI keyboard to la petit MOTU using une midi cable... from le keyboard's midi out, to la Motu's midi in. This will let you control any VST's from un tres grande midi keyboard.

Connect one of le outputs of la MOTU to one of le inputs of les MPC, using une 1/4 inch jack cable. Et voila.

haha, I apologise I was trying to be funny.

Ok, so connect the MIDI keyboard to the MOTU... with a MIDI cable, from "midi out" on the keyboard, to "midi in" on the MOTU. This will let you control the VST's on the computer within your DAW such as Logic or Ableton.

Next, connect one of the audio outputs of the MOTU, to the input of the MPC.

In essence this will let you sample whatever is coming out of your computer, but the MIDI keyboard will be controlling the VST.

Ok thanks you.

But with this configuration my MPC isn't sync with VST.
How can i use midi between my VST and my MPC ?

It's possible? Can i recorded in real time? Not with "Mode+Record" maybe with input thru?

What about FL Studio? can I track my beat to FL or do I need a different DAW like Logic?

make the MPC be the MASTER, and your DAW/VST host the slave.

because in this setup the MPC is the center piece for midi sequence and audio play/record.

cheers

(the frenglish explanation by Scoobylol was quite funny, while still comprehensible, wasn't it? lol)

you should read your FL manual, or ask this in a dedicated FL forum. I don't know if FL is capable of audio recording, I know FL 2 was not able to do this, but I never used any later FL versions...

good luck

Scoobylol: I can get why the right gif is kinda sexy (who is she, britney?), but what's going on with the left one ??? ?? lol
