Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

and you have the main outs of the mpc going to the line in on the computer?

yup straight from the stereo outs to the mic input of the laptop.

well I cant think of what it is, I am thinking the internal soundcard of the laptop is only able to be used as a mic input rather then being able to change between line level and mic.


I suggest getting an external sound card that you can plug into the USB port or 4 pin 1394 connector if your laptop has that... keep in mind the 4 pin connector will likely require you to have an external power source for the card though. typically that would be an external power plug adapter.

alright man, well thanks for the help. ill go ahead and look into the external sound card.


my laptop does the exact same thing with 1/8 into audacity. but my friend's macbook with garageband works fine. *shrug*
