Can somebody tell me why everytime I try to pitch shift a sample up it comes out sounding **** up?!............Example; I have a sample that already has the tempo without me pitching it up, but when I try to pitch shift it to 05.00 it doesn't come out right.......It comes out sounding crazy.... Im running os 1.60...! Is there a way around this?.....

krush,

you have to try different Presets and Adjust values depending on the material that you want to stretch/shift.
A preset that works well on a vocal might not work at all on drum sounds, etc...

Okay, I see what you saying....The sample is from an anita baker song in which im trying to capture the vocals as well as the melody of the sample....! Do you have any suggestions as to what presets and adjustments are some good ones to use with this type of sample.......Cause man...me messing with that can take all night!......On the sample kings video I have I remember them using the preset perc 1c, but I think that was for a drum loop...............

might wanan change your sig  .Your not gonna get good results pitching it up, you might as well compress(speed and pitch) it up.

Basically the timestretch in the 4k kinda sucks... If you use a PC get TimeFactory, its so much better, you cant even compare the results cause its like day and night. Theres really good ones for MAC too but I dont really know the name for em.
