hey, i've got a strange problem - when i record from vinyl, my left channel is about 2,5 more quiet, i see it on the recorded output in soundforge and hear it in speakers
i can HEAR the lack of balance also when i play music from comp (connected to other input in the same speaker set) - and the music is surely balanced (in fact it's ALL music)
but when i record from mpc (connected through mixer as turntable) it 's different - the sound is in fact balanced (i see it in soundforge, but i stil hear it in speakers with lef ch. more quiet).
i really don't understand this, it looks like the source of 2 exactly same problems are 1. speakers, 2. the needle in turntable (tried three needles!)
i use numark m2 mixer, audiophile 2496 and mpc 1000
the only way i found to cope with it is manually increasing volume of recorded vinyl stuff in sound forge (and then im not quite sure if there is lack of balance in speakers... it seems to be just less of it).
i can set balance in my card's tray menu, but it doesn't apply to what i record, what can i do more??
