Like I said, we're just gonna have to agree to disagree. Effective management(a good producer) will turn out a better product then someone working without a good producer. This is a proven fact in the industry(labels don't bring in producers cuz they like spendin more money), sure you get those gems that were done independently with unknown cats and what not, I'm not saying you cant make a hit without a good producer, Im just saying that ................................... ahh **** it, I hate typing.

God? He was still an amature, and god still talks to individuals, I oubt he shows up at any board meeting though.

Also, define "effective" ? That is pure hindsight, that's like saying better musicians make a better product, but that's not always true either, look at ywinge Malmsteen. Great technique, horrible music.

Exactly, Saying a better anything will make a better product, it says nothing. A better guitar, mic, coffee gopher would have made a better product, because you are deliberatly adding an improvement. A worse DJ would make a worse club, so what?

all i know is i wont put limits on me to "keep it real". If i need a viloinist for a part on my track, or someone to play a rhodes, i will go hire them and share my vision and pay them to play what is in my head. To me that is a producer. Im not gonna try to do stuff that effectivly someone else can do better. As long as u are the one being like " I need a part in C, in a major mode, kinda like this DDAAA DAAA DAAAA." then i think u are prodcuing. To sit there and deny the reality of the music biz, is crazy. This is how it works. U can go the indie route but most cats that have there own indie labels were signed to a major at one point in there career. If u are smart and know how this indusrty works u can make a name and get exposure, on ur terms, and then branch off to owning ur own production, publishing companies, and labels. i dunno. i just want to make good music and make my money off it. If i need to hire 6 cats to play out my ish, then so be it. Im the one doin the hiring. U think kanye can play a violin? but u damn well know he can visulize what notes he needs in what key, and convey that to another musican.

I have a load of respect for him...He lays it down simple but effective - Nothing wrong with that. No 1 said he had to chop a record into tiny little pieces, play all the parts himself and make things real hard for himself
etc. He's found his way of doing things so I respect him for that

Kanye's Threads are always the biggest......ppl are getting mad because kanye has musicians........."so what"......he feels like he paid his dues....why make a job hard when you don't have to???...........from 1997 to 2001 he was really in the shadows of another producer.....every since jay-z gave him the green light he has been running with it.........hopefully next you can see where credits will read "produced by john legend".....just like you see produced by scott storch now......or produced by kanye west.....all of these ppl were grinding to get to the forefront.......don't hate on them because thaz where they are........I know mad cats on here who have the talent it takes to make it in the game........my nukka MistaMike4U is a savage on them keys and will be shining in a few......but that is besides the point.....they is always ppl trying to break down kanye and try to make it seem like he don't deserve what he is getting.......I don't understand some of y'all dudes!

nah Mike is my man.......I hope he wouldn't take it like that......It just always sound like someone got something negative to say about Kanye......And I am all about expressing feelings but when someone talking about someone in a big number amount of posts and threads it gets very tiring.......and these kanye thread has an average of about 7 pages....thaz sad...so much creative energy wasted
