technic 1200 original colour

does anyone know the original black used to paint the technic 1200s? i recently picked up a table and the paint isnt to bad but i want to touch up a couple spots. iv been doing some searching for the colour and have come up with a big goose egg so far.

black???? Technics 1200 is silver.

Anyway OP, doesn't matter. Just find a black you like and paint it. Or go on eBay an buy a new black cover or any other color you want.

Are you going to stare at it or use it? Save the paint money, spend it on some vinyl and start using the damn thing!

Never seen a black 1200. I only saw black 1210s (MK5, gold etc) 1200 is silver 1210 is yellowish-dark-gray or black

the black ones are 1210's... not 1200's... same thing, just different color & model number... i'm sure that's what peterpiper meant...

uhh i use my techs every day....i just wanted to see if anyone knew the original colour so i could touch up some spots that are dinged up. i wasnt looking to repaint the whole table. its not in that bad shape. and yes they do manufacture technic1200s in black i can post flicks if anyone is interested....

Any "touch up" is gonna look like shit, and probably worst than it does now. It's best to leave it alone, repaint it, or replace it! The replacements in custom colors are only around $40!

i have some close friends who do custom automotive painting who id get to touch it up for me...i guess il leave it be for now. but if ANYONE knows the original colour code or whatever youd be a life saver. the replacements are cool and shit but im sorta into the whole its gotta be original. i dont like to **** with classic shit
