dubstep has been around for so long that there are allready quite some very different subgenres in it
sure, and I quite like some of it, and being flavour of the month doesn't mean it's a gimmick or it won't stick around
but it is flavour of the month, you can tell that by the number of
recent mentions it gets on this site and others, especially by people going "I love it, why don't you like it? is it too loud for you?"
noone's doing that for other genres now, going "I love hiphop, I bet you guys don't because you're not as cool as me"
and that's because dubstep is flavour of the month and people think they're cooler than the rest of us for liking it. well I live in London and was listening to it years ago so
