1. i'd like to see NDC markers created by hitting pads while sample is playing. for example. you play the sample, as its playing you hit a pad to set a NDC marker. You can hit a differant pad for each marker, then when you extract the sample pgm, that marker is automatically choresponding to the pad used to craete the marker.

2. I'd also like to see q3 and q4 able to adjust sample start and end points in trim mode, just like q1 and q2 (i think the knobs would be easier to control)

3. split sample channels option. right now to create an individual sample for each channel of a sample, you have to copy the sample, then eliminate a channel on each sample. it would be easier if you could just "split" the sample and you automatically get a new sample for each channel.

4.preview mode on channel combining/removing. i.e. when i go to create a mono version of my sample, i'd like to preview the results with a preview option before commiting the change. (just like when you timestretch a sample, it asks if you'd like to overright the original sample). sometimes ive made a sample mono and not liked what it sounded like and wanted to go back but couldnt.

multitimbral.

REVERSE in SEQ edit

qlink => cursor-selected parameter in STEP EDIT (the way it do in PGM mode)

record tempo change (this should be in XL, i reported it the other day and murai said it was a bug. wtf is wrong with yall, do none of you record tempo changes?)

VELOCITY to attack, tune, and sample start

option to COPY SAMPLES when a brother COPIES a PROGRAM (this would allow you to have multiple versions of the same pgm with different loop modes, filter settings, etc).

JJOS V.666

1. MODE + Note Repeat : mpc transforms into one of those japanese slut robots
2. MODE + PAD6 / PAD 6 / PAD 6 : mpc makes dope beats by itself - I get rich and party with erick estrada

I second this one^^^.

also forgot to mention, would like to see NDC start and end points in program mode, so you can adjust them whilest in program mode and not have to leave program window.

By soft button you mean the fkey?
I know I have quantize off by pressing the note repeat button in the main screen when I see the Fkey are all empty (no black background) but yeah it would be cool if it was directly written on the F2 tab.

My feature request for 2011 is the ability of playing a sequence in LOAD mode. It would be great for my workflow.

I got a few...

1. Non-Destructive Stereo to Mono Sample - I'd like to see this in program mode similar to the way the non-destructive sample reverse was added.

2. Preview of Normalize - I don't usually normalize samples but I had to this past weekend and unless I missed it I didn't see a preview feature before commiting to the normalize % function. If there is one please someone let me know and if there isn't there needs to be one because I had to redo it a few times because it was either way to loud or to quiet.

When I sold my mpc 1k a few months ago I got a MV-8800, I had it for a few weeks and decided to go with a 2500 with JJ instead. There were a couple cool features that I liked though...

3. Adjustable Full Level - Instead of always being set at 127 you can press SHIFT and FULL LEVEL and a menu pops up where you can adjust the constant velocity to be anywhere from 1 to 127; it's especially handy when the tone of sound is dependent on the velocity (you may not always want it full blast).

4. Individual panning per pad within same track - I would also like to see this in program mode right along with non-destructive stereo to mono sample. For example if you had all your drums on the same track panned the way you wanted you could just use the main track volume as a sub-mix volume and adjust the volume of all your drums at once. It wound definitaly be useful for me.

5. Project selection at startup - At the startup screen it would be useful if instead of loading up you autoload folder or just the default sequence you could choose what project to load.

Just a few, I'll think of some more

AND I WOULD KILL FOR THIS FUTURE!!!

http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5286/trackmutesong.jpg

So basically the "DARK" and "WHITE" Controls the "Track Mutes"

And when u play in "Grid Edit song mode" they play all the tracks at the same time but if u want to mute your hihat on a special bar/beat or bass on a special bar/beat and such u can click or unclick it where u want the "brake/mute"

So instead of making 20 sequence whit "intro, verse, hook and verse whit no drums the first 2 bars/beats" and so on you just click and unclick where u want the "mutes" like when u play the beat and have the "track mute window" open and mute and unmute on the fly to give some variation.

So then u don't need to do 20 different sequences...
And maby have the option "Export song" ?

I hope get the picture hehe and sorry for my poor English (I'm from Sweden)

Regarding the normalize function there's no preview at the moment but you can use %.
Usually I don't go over 80% and if you're not sure you can try lower % values and normalize one more time with another % value if you think it's still too quiet. But yeah if it's too loud the first time you're pretty stuck.

the only thing i want and been asking for years is stereo swap .
left become right and right become left, simple as that !!!! (i mean common you have to do it in a computer it's ridiculous)
destructively or not (non destructively in GPE preferably).
i gave up on that honestly ! it seems like such a simple and useful feature will never exist .....
i'm pretty sure i'm gonna be able to control my mpc1000 with an iphone before i see that stupid stereo swap.
it would be even better if you could (non destructively) choose between normal (self explanatory), L (only right channel), R (only right channel), L+R (sum both channel) and swap (left become right and vice a versa (no effect on mono samples obviously)).

Yeah that would be dope, I wanted non destructive stereo to mono in program mode but this would be even better.

REVERSE in SEQ edit

almost every request in this thread so far is a good one. i'm pretty sure JJ is checking this forum out so hopefully he is getting some ideas.

tops requests for me would be:

1. midi control of PROGRAM screen parameters (the holy grail)!

2. a new column in the PROGRAM screen where you can choose L, R, or ST (play left, right, or stereo channels of a sample. potentially big polyphony savings. better than destructively converting the sample to MONO.)

3. in the TRIM screen: the ability to chop a sample as it plays back by hitting a pad. this will create a slice at the playback bars current position whenever the pad is hit (very useful).

4. REVERSE option in SEQ EDIT.

5. even better: realtime REVERSE sequence playback, choosable on the fly. imagine seeing the playback bar going backwards in the MAIN screen/GRID EDIT!!

6. ability to have TRACKS with different lengths looping in the same sequence (example: TRACK 1 is 4 bars, TRACK 2 is 7 bars, etc...)
