Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello,

I'm trying to record realtime into cool edit pro...
I am wondering if I need another sound card....however, the signal comes into the sound card from the MPC, CD player, and turntables...
I does not record however....When I try to find the windows record out mixer, it does not have it...emu says they do not support windows therefore it does not record...so if this is the case, how can I send realtime into cool edit.
Can someone can give me a boost!!

"Full compatibility with most popular audio/sequencer applications with ultra-low latency WDM, DirectSound® and ASIO 2.0 Drivers "

Taken From the Press Kit of the 0404

Goto Cool Edits Recording Devices Setup and Make Sure it has the EMU as its Primary Recording and Output-ing Source...

OPTIONS/DEVICE PROPERTIES

thank you and yes, emu is the primary source for recording and playback as well.

is there something to do with the emu...there already is an input signal and i'm not sure if i need to program it for an output signal?
What about the mpc midi...do I need to do something with the midi/sync?

Thanks

go to options, choose "windows recording mixer" and make sure your line in is checked. Make sure "Stereo mix" is unchecked.

Also make sure you are arming the track you are recording to. Click the little red R.

I'm sure it supports windows which windows are you running. I have an EMU 1212 and it works fine. make sure your settings are all correct. To my knowledge Cool Edit is not ASIO compatible so you may have to switch to MME drivers. I have Adobe Audition and I know for a fact 1.0 is not ASIO compatible, but 2.0 is. Check on that.
