"No Disk" ?? when trying to format

I have the option to buy a really cheap 2000xl with all thge upgrades for really cheap - broken jog wheel

before i get a part and fix it, i must be able to save sounds to disk - or its not worth it for me

when i try and formatt a floppy, it says "no disk" but there is a disk in there - how do i know if the floppy is working as it should?

I would consider first and foremost how important 'really cheap' really is in this situation.

You can check if the disk or the drive is malfunctioning by trying different disks...if problem persists, it's likely the drive.
