I have an MPC and barely use it due to timem, but I'm starting to mess with it, just curious what they mean when they say filter.....or what to use to filter....

What mpc do you have?.....This sounds like a newbie question but hey even I get stumped over the small things.........Filtering is an option you can use to manipulate a sample with.......for instance if you have a sample that has vocals and drums and you only want to use the vocal part.... that is where filtering comes in.......Simply you would filter out the drum track to better accomadate you in using the vocal....!

filters r used to get rid of a certian frequency (pitch) in sound. the filters on the 2000 r nothing to jump bout but their good for instant change.....or on the fly.
