Sequancer qustion dont know if im posteing this in right form.

Anyways got importan qustion, one we probley all qustion are selfs

Now i been doing music for few years most were practice but now that im

getting more serious about my carrer i face tough qustion.Rec. Sequancer

Right now im useing tascam 2488neo really great for portable studio home rec.

sense im doing this in my bedroom wich kind small so it helps.

The qustion im really asking is should i only use my tascam 2488neo seq.

instead rec. on my drums machine seq and keyboard seq.

mean when im done rec. on my drum machine keyboard seq

im going individulally track each sound out to my tascam.

Thr good advantage of useing my keyboard seq. drum machine seq.

is i can organiize the song, rec. into my tascam

bad news i get bored easly sitting there and tracking each sound out lol

2. im going track them out one by one anyway.,

and lot us know that marvin gaye, temptations etc. name few didnt have

all these seq choice they just use one seq everythang was rec live.

and when tascam came out portastudio it was use as main seq. mostly for demo

So should i just use my keyboard for sounds and tascam as only seq.?

2. can i rec my drums on one track? im looking buy yamaha dd65 is why im asking

im mostly looking for opions should i use my tascam as only seq

how most people on here do it? how many seqs. do you use?

appreciate it

Damn... u guys are tough. Maybe English isn't his first language. To answer the OP's question, I myself sequence with only the MPC. Your tascam is not a sequencer. Its just a hardware recorder. So you need to use/find a sequencer you are comfortable with and use it. And as far as tracking out..... your hardware specs will dictate how u track things out. You might have to deal with recording one track at a time until you purchase equipment with multiple audio outputs. Im not saying you should run out and buy this, but for example, your tascam has a total of 8 analog inputs. You could get an MPC that has 8 outputs (MPC2500, or MPC2000xl with 8 output expansion) and plug those outputs right into the tascam. Then midi up the MPC to the tascam to sync the two together. This way u have defeated the problem of recording one track at a time as u will now be able to record 8 tracks simultaneously, and u have a dedicated sequencer, the MPC. Again... just an example.

must be about fifth by my guess

it's not just the poor English, it's the random line-spacing, the total misunderstanding of what a sequencer is, the question numbering (two 2s and no 1s or 3s), the general difficulty ofunderstanding what he's even asking

truth be told i figure sequancer is somethan you use to rec audio/midi on.
i mean when people use tell me music stuff they said use your software as sequancer.
so basicley my idea of sequancer is somethan that you rec on. audio, midi or both.
and so i thought my tascam was sequancer

plus my english maybe bad yea i admit that but that because i was pass through school
so basicley i had educate myself on spelling and writing..lol

I bet you dudes beats bang...

Anyway keep doing it the way you said you were doing it. if you get bored recording your tracks into your tascam then just remember what Marvin Gaye had to go thru.

And go get that education that's important homie. Your career isn't going nowhere if you don't.

donald trump wasnt educated and hes banking hard..sad how quick people are to pass judgment on person without knowing them at all. way 2 go

I'd say if neither sequencer is stuttering it dont matter which you use...I'd use whatever is convenient and least troublesome
