I wanna make beats for my lyrics, I feel like channeling my emotions into my lyrics, and my production would be sick. Figure who better to make a beat for my style of spittin, than me, you know?

So I looking for which MPC would be the best to start with pretty much, and anything else yall think I should know, PEACE thanks,

get the best model you can afford now that way you:

1) only have to learn a new machine once, which saves time.

2) wont wind up needing to upgrade later...

Thanks.

Is the most $$$ MPC the best one? which would you suggest buying (other than the most expensive one), or which is the easiest to learn with? OR are they all kinda the same learning curve? I really don't care how hard or easy it is to learn how to use it. I'm doing this shit, no matter what, you know? Feel like this shits my calling.

I just checked CL, for a MPC in my area, theres a MPC 1000, JJos and new pads he says, wants $500. Whats JJos? Sorry for all the stupid Questions, as stated early I know ZERO about this shit.

Thanks for any feedback

well that 1000 is not a bad price, and depending on the JJOS version it may be worth it.

now have a look at the threads around the forum. the JJOS is a 3rd party OS available for the 1000 and 2500 that adds 10 times more features and stuff to the machine. both the 1000 and 2500 are the same except for the pads size and less outputs on the 1000 and no tilt screen.

The best model is subjective... but when it comes to specs the 4000 is double the power of any other mpc.

i bought a dodgy 2000xl to learn on with f***ed pads, after learning on this i got a 1000 to carry on with would recommend it b'cos it does everything i want it to.. if buying 2nd hand make sure has the pad upgrade or is the new style or you could be stitched with dead pads (happened to me!)
If you've never made beats maybe download fruity loops or something else to make sure you wanna do it before you step up to spending hard earn't cash.

Good luck mate

Buy whatever. Be a man and cop an MPC for the looks, then justify your purchase by saying how great it is to all your fellow MPCers here, meanwhile you hide in your room making beats on FL.

LMAO

What kind of sound are you looking to make? Do you want old gear or new? Do you plan on doing most of your beat on the computer or hardware/MPC/Sampler?

If I where you I'd search old info from this site and google is your best friend. ;)
Anytime you see a word you don't know.... Google it. You will get a better idea of what direction you need to go and save you some money in the long run.
Good Luck

they all have pretty much the same learning curve from what i know, except the 4k is supposed to be a little harder to use.

the jjos is dope, read into it, if you get a 1k youll want the jjos (paid for version) for sure.

thers a section of this forum dedicated to the jjos and it does some comparisons.

whats up man. i'm still new, but i bought a mpc 1000 and i'm using jjos1. i have to say that the 1000 is sick. this thing is portable and powerful. you must know that you have to put sounds into your mpc. its not like a keyboard or something where out the box you have a lot to work with. you can either buy sound kits or pull your samples from records, cds, keyboards,...basically anything. for the money the 1000 is worth it. good luck.
