Ok heres the deal... Been using a 3000 for a while now and am interested in combining the workflow of my MPC with Abletons ability to warp and stretch samples....
We all know that theres beats that could be made iller if you could stretch loops that are dif in tempo due to human error during a performance. I have plenty of records that I have never made the beat from that I wanted to due to this problem.
Anyhow, I would like to use my MPC to do all the sequencing and as my master clock due to the swing and timing correct note movement that is only available from an MPC. I cant figure out how to map out samples in Ableton to correspond soley with one loop. It always has key variations if you press differnet pads they go up in scale..... How do I set everything up? Im so beat trying to figure it all out.
I cant believe Ableton hasnt allowed for us older cats that still have our original drum machines.... They have midi maps for all kinds of other controllers but not the 3000. Bummer if you ask me... Im sure Im just not setting it up correctly in ableton in terms of sampler or simpler or whatever you use on there. I cant figure out how to get the parameters the same on ableton as you can do on the MPC either. Example. Cant figure out how to make samples cut eachother off in ableton like you can do on the mpc. or get them to play from start to end without holding down the pad, creating super short gaps between looping points instead of being able to make them seamless...... Does anyone know what Im talking about here? Am I being to vague? Anyone have any suggestions? MIDI map for MPC3000? HELP!!!!
