Usable parts from a 4000?

Can you use the pad sensor and pads from a 4000 in a 3000? I was given one to part out.

rubber pads should work, sensors i doubt it though but who knows may be.

Im not sure if it fits all those models in the way they reproduced it or if the OEM 4000 one will fit right onto the 3000. Would be nice if it did.

well the thing is, if it fits it should work... as long as the layout is the same. when you have the machines apart why not take a look to make sure the layout of the traces are the same.

anyways, what is wrong with the busted 4k? what part of it is busted?

Hmm, honestly it looks mint and never used. It was given to me in trade for some computer work before I left for the holidays. He wasnt sure if it worked. I opened the box quickly and it looked like it had never been taken out. I have a 1000 and just got a 3000Le. Im just curious about the pad and pad sensor compbatability if I was to part it out. I have no use for it and I know someone who needs the screen.

my guess is the sensor board is the same... since mpc stuff lists them as the same.


I dont get why you wouldn't test the 4k before thinking about parting it up.... why not sell the unit as a whole for a grand and buy your 100 bucks worth of pad sensors and rubber?

Thats most likely what I will do. As soon as I get home Ill power it up and Im sure its fine. Thanks for the replies.
