Jah aka Askia is a forked tongue deceiver, a low down snake oil salesman and used underwear collector of the worst kind.
How can I be afraid of a golem who I beat in a beat battle twice once by decision and once by default cause the coward ran away. I'm all about workflow and ease to each person particular style. I studied the pioneers, reverse engineer new technology, and have always strive for understanding of the reasoning for the techniques that djs discovered creating hip hop, house, electronics, and most major dance music.
It is obvious it is the man picking the best tool for him golem. The machine can't make a beat for ya. No matter how much you collect if you can't make a beat you or just useless in a beat makers forum. You can have a specfeat all day but if a cat can bang out a beat with the simplest tools and you come with Zelda beat on some downloaded midi file to showcase your piano patch you are a clown. A real joke

Autochop can't make a beat for ya, 5k can't make it for ya, machine or a new OS not since you a too shook cuz you believe that you need yada, yada to make it for ya lameness.
Anyway back to the thread all should get a hands on demo of the unit, check the videos of users at work who style you like ( sample based or keyboardy). Study your current setup and think of the central piece of your studio and any other gear you have or need in the future and go from there. GAS can problem but after several changeups KISS is the best solution and mastery of the CRAFT and gear is essential. I make sample based beats, electronica, deep house, and whatever I'm feeling at the moment. Earlier in this yr I moved almost entirely into a software studio setup saved my mpc. My purchase was to complete that. Now I swung back to more of hardware cuz I missed despite my extensive controllers hand on feel of hardware gear. Maschine is good and I listened and watch fellow producers make great beats with it. I made beats with it too. But the center of my studio is still ny mpc as choice, feel, understanding and my own personal workflow. I'm much faster working on machine through I don't mind the familiarity and the program matrix I have on 4k. True Im not dependent on slicing all in the machine for timeslicing a loop as I have extensive software tools that are better. Plus I learn to relay on cutting my records on the turntable for the phrases I want. Maschine or the 4k is up to the individual both are fine it depends on the skills of the person.
Bang on.
Go make a beat son the challenge is put forth to you for a sample based beat as I'm not dependant on half the noise you cry about again I will use maschine this time vs you on your 5k. It is all about understanding your tool chicken or you gonna run away again?
