Transfering from MPC to iMac

I just bought an MPC 2000xl along with an iMac and DigiDesign inbox Mini. Finally figured out how to work the MPC, set up the digi mini, but cannot transfer the music into Garage Band. All the drivers are installed for the inbox. Any idea how i can get my mac to record in the sequences i just recorded? Garage band doesnt even recognize sound when i plug the MPC into the mac.

Someone suggested it may be about what USB port i use??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have samples loaded.
Make sure your volume is up.
Make sure you are plugged into the correct jacks on both MPC and Digi.
Ensure Garage Band is setup to use the proper recording interface...the Digi.
Make sure to 'record enable' your audio tracks.

I would suggest keeping headphone plugged into the MPC so you can first ensure sound is coming from it, then work your way down the line...I don't know what a inbox mini is, but if you can monitor / see the input levels, that would be the next place to look. After that, you can check for input in garage band.
