Yeah, it's four Mophos in one.

you can control each separately on four different midi channels, for four monophonic synths

or you can make it work as a 4-voice polyphonic synth

or you can combine the 4 voices so they play together, but each with a different program

Sweet, cheers for the link, exactly what I needed to see. Reckon I'm gonna grab myself a Tetra, and then sometime in the future I might try pick up a Slim Phatty too. I do a lot of live improv stuff, so I reckon a Tetra, my MPC1000, KP3 and Xio would be a serious rack of gear for me to get some fat live loops going. I think in that kinda scenario the 4 separate voices would be the deal clincher. Plus size-wise it'll all still easily fit into a backpack or whatever - and that's always important to me too.

its got 4 voices.

4 different sounds, over 4 different MIDI channels. There are basically 4 sequencers (arpeggiators) as well, so everything can be synced to tempo, etc. Tetra is def. more capable than the Phatty, but the Phatty is a Moog, you get the Moog filter and the Moog sound.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact they are MP3 samples? The Mopho/Tetra is an analog synth, how can it make digital aliasing noises? The sound generator and efx are all VCO, VCF, VCA! How did they record the samples? Theres not a whole lot of logic in your conclusion, homie.

Actually, it's DCO. Own the Prophet '08 and the Tetra is basically a halved Prophet '08. But, the filter is analog, so, aliasing shouldn't be a problem.

Don't know what jonestown is talking about. I've already come to the conclusion that cats be hearing what they want to hear.

Waldorf Pulse (Based on the mini moog, so it sounds a lot like one but has it's own character..it has the wildest output you have ever heard)

Roland SH-101, SH-09, SH-02

Novation Bass Station/Rack (Don't really reccomend this over the others but it's a nice cheapy analogue/DCO synth thats actualy better for mono leads and ok for bass)

Wanted to say thanks for the advice. Ended up getting the Prophet '08 because of it's easy editing but also came up on a Waldorf Pulse Plus on the cheap. And, the Pulse is a beast for basses.
