First of all, Happy new year to everyone and greetings from Barcelona,

I have a question about song mode which I can´t solve after having read the manual several times..Let´s see:

I have created a song with 10 sequences ( they include some MIDI tracks, muted tracks, and so on) and my purpose was to edit them ( EQ and mastering) with LOGIC but sequence them first with the MPC which to me is easier and more intuitive.

The thing is that I if convert all sequences to a single SONG, this is what occurs after trying both MUTE TRACKS IGNORED and REFERENCE TO 1st SEQUENCE:

1-For some reason one audio which I recorded in the HD at the beginning of the song does not playback.
2- The MIDI tracks do not playback and I have made sure they were not muted.

I have two questions:

1-Is there any way that I can transfer one single track from the whole song , say, TRACK 1 ( which has changes throught the 10 sequences) to Logic muting the rest of them so I can edit it later in the computer?

2- I know this question si too newbie-like but...How can I record a loop of the first bar of a sequence by pressing a single pad? I mean, lets say I have a track wich begins with a guitar riff. It´s sequence 9. How can I repeat the first bar of that guitar riff as it was repeated as it was started over and over?

Sorry..my English sucks when I try to explain myself!!!

Happy new year!

hmmmm, yeah i will try to answer as much as i can. yes you can transfer a whole track, but is it midi or sound??? cant answer till i know.

2. what you want to loop sample or just repeat that track part. you could copy track sequence and paste in sequencer or do a track copy, and only copy bars of what you want

There are different ways you could do this.

You could either record your tracks to the 5000 hd recorder than save them. After which you would just transfer to the computer and open up in your daw and edit them there.

You could assign your samples to the different outs and just record into a soundcard feeding your daw of choice.

You guys should get the 5000 tutorial this site sells. It will help you. Try the demo out, it even comes with free sounds.
