this hooks the keyboard to the mixer

I haven't dealt with big mixers, but if you got the 8 out board for the 4000 you will hook the 8 outs into the mixer, or just the stereo mix out if you dont have it. then you hook the master out of the mackie to the m audio fast track

have a look a the manual - it's online. up the front, it has a number of diagrams showing you how to set up the mixer. you'll have it sorted out in no time.

don't nelglect to us the busses - they are a powerful and useful feature.

I'm kinda confused on what your saying here. I have studio monitors hooked up to the MPC.. I dont have the 8 out board... so do I hookup my Studio monitors to the mixer or do i hook up the MPC to the mixer to generate sound? That's what you saying "stereo mix?" I noticed a plug behind my Monitors that says "TRS", should I get a TRS Jack and hook it up to my mixer? Or does the MPC hookup to the mixer? Which one and which cables, if it aint too much trouble.. thanks.

You got the 1402 yeah?
So, hook up your mpc stereo outs to inputs on the mixer.[¼inch plugs to ¼ inch plugs]
Hook up your amp and speakers to CONTROL ROOM OUTs [¼" plugs to whatever your amp inputs are]
Then you can hook up your soundcard to (either) MAIN OUTS [¼"plugs] (or the TAPE OUTS [RCA plugs). [to whatever your soundcard inputs are].

Does that help?
If not , ask again.

^ yeah, thanks for the help.. my focus is now on the M-audio Fast Track Ultra and which wires to hook it up to the MPC and which wires i need to hook it up to the mixer as well, so that way i can mess around wit everything in pro tools. I see your saying 1/4 cables, but i also have 2 unused XLR cables... can i do anything with these? ..ill b experimenting

EDIT: Got everything working so far! I'll probably be back with a diagram of my studio equipment on another Thread about wiring. Thanks guys.

Y cable, stereo male ¼" TRS to dual mono male ¼" TS. Just so you'll know in the future.
