Well, I've searchd the internet, I've searched the Forums here, and I've read the "manual" and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the changes I make in the LPD8 editor to upload to the LDP8. I've done it with my DAW (Cubase Studio 5) closed, and open. I've uninstalled and re-installed the LPD8 editor, it just will not upload my custom presets.
Here's what I follow:
1. Open LPD8 Editor, selecting the LPD8 "USB..." item from the drop down list, and clicking the "Done" button.
2. Select Preset #1
3. Change preset midi channel to 10 (it's going to be an ezdrummer preset).
4. Change the Note #'s on the pads to what I want.
5. Save Preset
6. Load Preset
7. Click the "Commit - Upload" button
8. Click the green "OK" button in the "Upload Successful" pop up window
9. Open Cubase, load my template for recording
10. Open the EZDrummer panel so I can se when it's done loading the files it needs, all 268mb of 'em.
11. Hit the pads on the LDD8 device.
12. Nothing happens.
When I do not load the preset I made, the LPD8 works, but the presets make no sense of course for ezdrummer. And all the notes I used are within the range of ezdrummer...I used their map.
If I can't get this to work, I think I'll take it back. It's a great pad controller, but the software and documentation is not even usable in my opinion.
