Faulty timing with mpc 2500. Help please

Hey people.

Have got a funny problem with the mpc 2500. I've uploaded the video so you guys can hear it rather than me just explain it. When I play a drum sequence, if I play any off beat notes, the mpc gets confused and the puts the whole timing out of alignment.

I am running on the default Akai OS, I'm not sure which model. But any feedback on what might be wrong would be great.

That sounds like you got the quantize on. Try turning it off for more complex programming or try a different setting like 1/16-3 or 1/32-3

Do you mean the timing correct feature when you say 1/16-3?? And also what in quantize and how do I turn that off???

The quantinze will line your drums up giving that robotic feel, to turn it off hold note repeat and one wil be highlighted press the button once to turn it off and then try. It should playback exactly how you programmed it.

Definitely quantize. On the main screen you will see T.C. Hit the softkey and rotate the dial to OFF.

You can either set it to off, or use the old school trick of doubling your bpm and bars. this gives more timing options...
