Hello there,

i just started using the MPC2500 (it's great by the way).

my problem:

i created a SONG by adding several sequences together in the SONG mode.
i want to have a wav. file of this song. i tried several ways:
- converting the song into a sequence (which didnt work cause somehow some sounds disappeared when i played the
whole thing as a sequence)
- saving the song in the SAVE mode (which didnt work because, somehow there is no way of saving a song in that mode
- recording the MAIN OUT - signal (which didnt work because the MPC wasnt playing the whole song as i intended, but only played the first sequence repeatedly.

I really want to save this song before i turn the MPC off, cause then the whole thing is lost!

Please help if you can!

welcome to the forums!

to use the song mode features proprely you have to make sure every sequence is build with the same track structure. if the setting "reference to 1st seq" is set all following sequences are treated with the settings of seq1.
you can change track settings afterwards in your existing sequences, but it might be a lot of work depending on how komplex and divers your sequences are.

peace, jo

edit: for your save problem: just save all your sequences like you did before (or better save "the entire memory") and write a note of how you arranged the sequences in song mode - that way you can easily recall your session after you switched of the mpc.
