mpc won't load projects correctly

That's really weird. Can you check the mixer and see if the kick sample is not turned down to zero? Also, are you having any problems with new projects that you create?

mixer is turned up, and no i dont have this problem when creating new project.

i think when i go into step edit that sometimes there is nothing after p: , but most of the time there is and i think it may be the wrong pad? p:a01 when maybe its p:a09 or something, but i cant change what it has there already...
