1. how can i tell what os i have on my mpc 1000?
2. if i change os will files still be compatible?

1. MODE >PAD10 OTHER>GLOBAL tab. ...... It's not hard to find.
2. If you are updating with an Akai OS then yes they will.
3. It changes any settings you have made back to the initial factory settings. (This is Definitely in the manual p. 101).
