mpc not looping properly. There is a stutter???? (mpc 100

Hello,

I am having an odd issue. I have a beat that I sampled in my computer that is set to 142bpm. When I play the beat on the mpc in trim mode it loops perfectly. When I create a program, set the tempo to 142bpm, and program the beat to start on down beat, it loops with a very slight stutter at the end of the phrase.

I don't know why there is a difference in what I am hearing from trim mode and the sequence. I am not patch phrasing the loop, nor doing anything exotic. Oh, also, I double checked the tempo that the mpc is detecting in trim mode and it also says 142bpm.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

do you use jjos? if so, go to program (mode+pad7) and change the release of your sample to 0.

I just tried doing that. Honestly I am still new to this, but I went to program mode, toggled over to level, hit the window button, and that gave me the option to adjust the attack and decay. I set everything to zero.

When I play the sample in program mode it loops perfectly. Then when I program the sample in the sequencer it still stutters. Any thoughts?
