Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

MPC2000XL and a Fantom x6. Couldn't be more confused out of my mind oh how the hell i can get this to work.

I'm trying to get the MPC to be master and fantom as slave. I want to use my fantoms filters and effects along with instruments to add to the mpc.

I have midi connected on the MPC to midi "in 1" port, and to the fatoms midi "out" port. Also 1/4 inch jacks connected from mpc audio outs to fantom audio ins..

I'm nowhere in my mind sure that's right, not to mention going into the damn midi options. Nothing is as straight forward as master or slave mode and which tracks you would like to midi out from.

Anyone have a step by step with pics?

if you want the mpc in master mode and the fantom in slave:

- use a midi cable plugged in the mpc midi out and in the fantom midi in
- also select the right midi out and channel on the mpc main screen menu

never used a fantom so i don't know the machine but the cables must be plugged in that way

Well, i'll give it a shot again. My main issue is in the midi/sync options tab in the mpc and fantom. Just hoped it would be easier to configure.

to send midi clock from the MPC to the synth press shift + 9 and select the right option in the midi menu (of the 2000)
