converting files

Is there a way of converting WAV/SEQ files into MP3 or relevent, to enable them to play on itunes/WMP etc?

you can't convert them to MP3 in the MPC, but that's easy to do on your laptop (but itunes should play WAV files anyway, unless it's total shit)

Well, I burn my beats and songs to CD in the lab, then when I take the disk to my computer, I can make a wav.file and an mp3 file of it with no problem. I'm guessing your format is already wav. so a converter would be recommended, but I'm just throwing my work-around.

I've now managed to record the songs as a new sample and in turn get them onto itunes.
Once on itunes ive converted them to AAC format to enable use on my ipod... but.... the file sizes are huge!! 8MB!!!
Each song/new sample is approx 4 mins long.
Is there a way to compress the file size without losing the sound quality?
This will enable me to transfer all my songs to my ipod to use live in a small venue?

When creating the songs on my mpc the overall size of the SEQ file is only about 32kb.
Please help!

that's because, as I already explained to you, the SEQ file doesn't contain the sounds, just the timing of notes.

the actual sounds are in the sample files that are used by the sequence when you assign them to a program

the sum of all those files will still be smaller than the finished WAV, because each sample is used many times, but the WAV contains repeated plays of the samples

you should be able to choose the compression level when converting to AAC
