ZIP DISK...where for art thou?

I am having thee hardest time finding them, anywhere!? what the hell?? (I know i can prob get them online)

but, I swear I thought I had seen them in stores...im talking recently

I went to Office Max the other day...they had floppies??? no zip though...doesn't that seem kind of backwards?

Any suggestions?

Push come to shove I'll go the online route...possibly even the CF route

It's not a 'number of sounds'...it's all about how big the sounds are in memory. You can save as many as you want until memory is full.

That being said, I bet there is some upward limit due to the filesystem, but it's likely irrelevant, as I highly doubt you will ever hit it.

I need to sell off mine... I got like 40 of 'em I don't use.

IMHO... go the card reader route. ZIP drives suck!

the reason for this is that floppies are superior

but probably that zips have way more problems, I'd get the CF if I were you

I found a guy selling 3 used scsi iomega zip 100 drives, I bought them all cause I know that they have a habbit of dieing.

Some offices still use floppies for storage/archive which is why you can still by them in some places. Zips just where not around for long enough the get implemented in the kind of place that only updates tech when they absolutly have to.

Your going to hate me but I got about 100 zip 100meg disks from a photographic shop that was clearing old stock. they had a box of them out the front with a sign saying free to good home!! they found one!!

I thought they stopped manifacturing Zips? Anyway even floppies are getting Hard to find and I herd that sony had stopped making them.

I just bought another older sampler and the scsi is dead so I been hording floppies. I actualy had to explain to a office works (a large office supply chain in australia) employee what a Floppy Disk was!! not that they had any.

If you can find and afford it I would suggest getting a SCSI HD, much more reliable.

You can always check your local Craigslist under Computers, or even ebay. I had a friend that moved and sold all his stuff off, he sold the drives and couldn't find the disks, after the sale he found 4 zip disks and just gave me them for free...
