Installing Solid State HD to the 2500...

Hey guys, just want to know if anybody has managed to install a Solid State HD to the 2500.

Transcend Solid-State Disk 32GB 44pin IDE << I have this one in mind but I'm not sure if it's gonna be accepted by the MPC.

Do you guys think this SSD HD would run with the 2500 JJ os??

if you have it try it and see what happens. let us know how it goes. i thought it was SATA instead of IDE.

lol i haven't opened my mpc in a good min. need to check it out again since i want to also put an ssd on it. the internal hard drive is going strong close to 4 years now. i usually change them every 2 years to be on the safe side, but for some reason i keep pushing the mpc drive back and say i'll do it next week. need to back it up too now that explicit reminded me in another thread. lmao

I haven't bought the SSD yet, thats why I'm asking...

If it was Sata I would buy it and if it doesnt work I'd put it in my PC, but as an IDE Disc it would be useless if it doesnt function with the mpc...

Theoretically it should ork. I don't see why it wouldn't since is just another drive.

I installed a CF card adaptor into the HD slot and have a 16 gig card in there, workin fine.. could do the same with a 32 gig I'm sure too..

just another option
