My bad,,,,, !! It sounded like some big secret the way he told me

Anyway,, sounds good. Maschine is looking pretty decent. I can't seem to give up the MP tho.

I hear you . Just flipped my Maschine for another XL . The bells & whistles were nice but I like a simpler work flow and actual analog outs . That virtual sh!t was frustrating .

Plus my HD almost crashed last night and if I didn't repair it I'd be fcked w/ Maschine . But w/ my trusty MP the computer could've sat while I made beats .

Say what now? MPC is a digital sampler. You have samples in digital domain that goes through a d/a converter, just like Maschine.

You don't backup your drive? MPCs are computers too and they do crash but you can't even backup its drive easily.

I'm talking about using the 1/4 outs . I wasn't feeling all the virtual routing, to each his own .

I do have a backup of my drive, it's just very time consuming when something goes wrong to fix it (a good 3 hours to restart and replace w/ backup w/ Time Machine) . I'm not a computer tech / program guy . I only like using my comp to record, that's just me .

And it's more than easy enough to backup your MPC, save every 1/2 hour or so . So if something does go wrong it's easy enough to start back up from where you left off, old school style  .

I'm not talking about virtual outs or routing. Maschine gives you the option to choose the actual audio interface, which have 1/4 "analog" outs.

I'm not talking about backing up the memory card. There's no way to have an automated regular backup of the MPC's operating system. And if you've installed a hard drive in there, it would take forever just to back up every single time.

That's what I thought. Your rationale for ditching Maschine didn't make any sense and predictably you got nothing else to come back with other than a personal attack.

I know what W. Steele meant... makes perfect sense, im not feeling the virtual routing shit either.

Which part? When he claimed that a MPC has "actual analog outs" referring to the d/a converter as if all audio interfaces don't? When he seems to forget that MPC is a digital sampler where all samples are in the digital domain, just like Maschine? As if Maschine couldn't be sent through "actual analog outs" of any audio interface? Or was it when he claimed that his "HD almost crashed last night" (which it didn't) and how "if I didn't repair it I'd be fcked w/ Maschine" and then admitted he backs up his computer?

You're the one who's making no sense . "almost" implies "didn't" . And me having a back up doesn't put aside the fact I'd be fcked for a good 3 hours while my back up re-installs . Where as if I was on top of my saving w/ my MPC all I'd have to do is reboot and work from where I left off which would take a matter of minutes .

Edit : the age thing shouldn't matter . . . I'm just assuming you get no a$$ . . . another personal attack

its a shame peeps cannot stat an opinion without putting each other down its unecessary maschine is dope for in the box quick things and will continue to improve dont get mad cos the feature set is fast improving and may well surpass the mpc line.

currently there are many things the mpc does better and then there other things that maschine does better.

but both can somewhat achieve the same things but there is room for both in the market and in time the features sets of both could merge even further

Yeah that's kinda dope... I was wondering how they would implement the hardware with plugins...

I'm not a maschine user, but you're right that deserves credit.
