Yeah, sure it is. I usually don't sample either drumloops or single shot drumsounds though, when I sample (which I like, and which I do a lot btw) it's probably 97% melody lines that I end up chopping in one way or another on the 60. No need for previewing stuff like that - but previewing 20-30 different hihats or other single shot samples, now that's a totally different animal.

why you cant see the connection I dont know.

See above.

Is that only MY taste and MY way of producing beats? Absolutely not. Almost everybody here (except for you apparently) likes sampling from records...

See above.

If posts made by two forum members other then yourself, in a forum you dont own is so tiresome... then what are you doing here?

Sorry to break the news to you, but this is a discussion forum. Usually you end up discussing stuff there. Awkward, I know, but that's the way it has been for a long time. :(

I wasn't even talking to you so **** off.

See above.

and there are others besides yours (ie: using the downloaded fruity loops drum packs in fruity loops that has preview instead of transfering them and wishing you could preview them on the mpc)

You know what? I sincerely wish you a really nice evening. You truly deserve it. Cheers. pal! :D

Dear angry Mr. Debauch. You're obviously totally unable to distinguish between criticising content and criticising somebody for expressing his view. I still wish you a great evening though!

The only tiresome thing here is having to scroll through these handbag fights. You are both soiling what is a perfectly valid thread.

Take it to PMs please.

Web server,
ethernet port mod,
port vlc for watching videos while i make beats.

it would b nice if the option >copy zone to new .snd< would stay instead of switching back to >copy zone to temp< after processing.

it would b very nice if the "help"-button could b linked to any other button or menu.

they should get rid of zone all together or have a copy start and end to zone start and end button

Someone might have said it. I may have said it. Worth asking again...

1. Option for "chromatic" 16 level tuning. How hard would this be?

2. Triggering external MIDI devices using the pads.

Hit 16 levels and dial in the "TUNE" option.

Unless you mean some thing different all together ?

Yes, I understand the 16 level function but it's not equal temperament is it? Seems to have no semitone interval between notes. My workaround has been to add to copy the same sample and pitch it up 1 semitone. I do hope you can tell me I'm wrong about this...

I couldn't see anyone shouting this but I would like some stuff like a way of cutting a channel so you can cut the right or left side of a sample with a pad or something.
I know I can achieve this by sampling each side and doing it that way but it would be good for on the fly and just for extra inspiration when you fall flat on a sample.
In fact being able to record a right mono and left mono at the sample time as two separate samples would be cool..
Actually just thought if you could sample in and set the number of copies of the sample when you save the sample would save loads of time.

Maybe i am just lazy hahaha

I think mpc3000 needs 5 band EQ filter , also a high pass filter.I also would like a "time stretch" feature .

not sure how easy this would be to implement.
But how about - in the edit sample screen, using the SLIDER to move the number counters.
Would be quicker than using the jog wheel or (uurgh) typing in the numbers all the time.
Chopping up stuff using the slider to set start / end points on the asr-10 really does help.
